Recycle with Camp!
We need your help to make a difference! Anyone can participate, families, troops, classes… ANYONE! Help us collect the following items to make the largest impact we can as a community!
We are working with TerraCycle to give plastic a second life. We also have suggestions on ways to reduce your plastic needs at home!
PLASTIC BAGS!! In addition to the items below, we are also working with the Special Interest Lion’s Club to collect plastic bags to be made into benches! Bags do NOT need to have the recycling logo. All plastic bags including Ziploc and the plastic around toilet paper rolls can be recycled this way! All plastic bags need to be clean and DRY!
Start collecting any of the following items and email Monica at monica@peninsuladaycamp.org to set up a drop off.We have drop off locations in San Mateo, Foster City, Redwood City (near Alameda and Edgewood) and Redwood City (near Woodside and 101).
Items need to be DRY. They do NOT need to be product-free… just as empty as possible.
We are SUPER excited to have this YEAR-ROUND program to work together and we will update this page with our status as we package and ship plastic to TerraCycle for a second life. We are also on the waitlist for some of TerraCycle’s other brand programs and will be adding those when we can.
