WHAT TO BRING ON THE OVERNIGHT

LABEL EVERYTHING WITH YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME 

  • Outdoor sleeping bag (not a slumber bag)

  • Padded mat

  • Waterproof ground cloth, 6' x 6' (tarp, plastic garbage bag).  (We will be sleeping under the stars.)

  • In a small duffel or tote bag pack:

    • Empty plastic bag for dirty clothes

    • Additional large trash bag to repack for the return trip (bags tend to get torn) 

    • Warm pajamas or sweat suit (NO nightgowns, slippers or robe)

    • Change of underwear, shirt and socks

    • Ziploc bag with: hand towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, and/or comb. (There is soap at camp)

PLACE ALL THE ABOVE ITEMS IN A LARGE DUFFEL OR LARGE STRONG TRASH BAG AND TIE SECURELY. ATTACH THE COLOR CODED NAME TAG (enclosed in your camper's envelope, with your name and unit # written in) TO THE TRASH/DUFFEL BAG.

Please send campers with a day pack on Thursday, just like the other days of camp. This backpack should be separate from their overnight gear and should contain:

  • Dunk bag consisting of the following

    • Mesh bag with a draw string (easy to find in the laundry section at at the dollar store or drug store)

    • Mess kit or unbreakable plate, bowl, and heat-proof cup (raid your own kitchen)

    • Knife, fork, spoon

  • Older Girl units bring lunch for Wednesday

  • Water bottle

  • Flashlight - with fresh batteries, be sure it works!

  • Warm sweatshirt or sweater - an extra one in addition to the one worn to camp 

LABEL EVERYTHING WITH YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME: All campers are responsible for their own clothing and equipment. Travel light. What you take, you carry.

CAMPERS: No fair dumping everything into the trash bag Friday morning! YOU must re-roll all your equipment and tie it securely before boarding the bus to go home. Make sure your NAME TAG is visible so that your luggage will be put on the right bus! 

OVERNIGHT DATES

  • Brownies, Juniors, Older Girls, Boys - last night of camp.

  • Older Girls & Older Boys (6th grade and up) - last 2 nights of camp.

  • Pioneer & Backpacking Units (choice for girls 7th grade and up)-- last 3 nights of camp.

  • Aides - stay for an extra aides-only overnight on Friday night.

Camp ends at Noon on Friday.

Going home for the night?

There is no bus service the night/morning of the overnight. If your daughter chooses not to stay overnight, you are responsible for picking her up at Huddart Park and bringing her back to camp the next morning.
