Hot Days at Camp
On hot days kids can sometimes get droopy, so our camp nurse requests that all campers eat a good breakfast and have plenty to drink before coming to camp.
Here are a few more tips to help stay cool:
- Freeze your water bottle and/or bring an extra one.
- Tie a wet bandana around your neck or head..
- You can soak your hat in water too! Choose a wide-brimmed hat rather than a baseball cap (baseball caps shade the eyes OK, but they don't provide much protection for the rest of your face.)
- Long pants and sturdy shoes are required even on hot days, but your pants can be lightweight.
- Don't forget the sunscreen!
